the features and functionality of traditional desktop applications. They use
interactive technologies such as Flash and Ajax to provide the user with a
highly interactive experience and a rich user interface. RIAs transfer the
processing necessary for the user interface to the user’s computer while keeping
the data processing on the Web application server. Data can be processed quicker
and more seamlessly without the typical stop-and-click setup of most Web
applications.

shipping addresses, gift messages and gift boxes for each order. We streamlined
this process by creating a custom RIA shopping cart. Now the checkout process is
much faster and more seamless, the user can edit order information without
having to click back and next. As a result, shopping cart abandonment has
